Private communication / direct by default

Keep the signal.
Lose the trail.

Veilcord is a private space for conversations that move directly between people, with encryption that stays at the edge.

No ads. No analytics. No third-party scripts.

01 / The route

The shortest path is the point.

Veilcord tries to connect peers directly first. A rendezvous service helps them find each other; it does not become the place where a conversation lives.

You
direct path
Your peer
TURN fallback
relay

Direct when the network allows it. TURN carries encrypted packets only when a direct path cannot be negotiated.

02 / The boundary

Private by design.
Clear about the edges.

01

Content stays unreadable

Veilcord uses the pinned MLS X-Wing profile: hybrid post-quantum confidentiality with classical Ed25519 authentication. The server cannot recover message content.

02

Direct does not mean invisible

Peers may see network addresses needed for a direct connection. That is a property of peer-to-peer networking, and Veilcord states it plainly.

03

Relays are a fallback, not a mailbox

When TURN is needed, it forwards encrypted bytes to make connectivity work. It is not a content store and cannot decrypt the payload.

03 / The promise

Your words should arrive
without taking a detour.

A smaller surface. A sharper protocol. A communicator built to keep the path between you and the people you choose.
